Cherrydale Cinemas has released its ‘Cine8’ app to cinemas across Sydney.
Cinemas in Sydney can now download the app to get the latest film and TV information and access to the latest screenings.
The app also features a countdown clock to give you an indication of when the next film or TV screening is coming up, with the app also showing you where to find your nearest cinema.
“It’s really about the community and providing access to information that can be useful for the community,” said Cine8 director of marketing David Jones.
With more than 50,000 cinema screens across Sydney, Cherrydale is the only local cinema chain to offer a mobile app.
It launched the app in early February and it has been downloaded more than 5 million times, with more than 1 million downloads of the app being from users in the ACT, the Northern Territory, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Rivers region.
Cherrydale Cinemases is also offering the app free of charge to customers who want to access their cinema’s website and cinema app.
Cinemains website is free and offers access to access to all the latest information and offers cinema and film related events.
Tickets can be purchased online for just $4.99 or at the box office, with tickets available on a first come first served basis.
Cine 8 can be used to get information about all of the upcoming film and television screenings at Cherrydale cinemases.
Users can also download the Cinema8 app on their phone or tablet and watch movies and TV series from Cherrydale.
The Cherrydale Cinema app is available to download on iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices.
