There are many films that will be in theatres in 2018, but the top two choices are:The French film festival’s new Top 10 list includes the five films on its list of the 100 most important films of the year.
The list was launched to mark the 25th anniversary of the French Film Festival (FFF), a joint initiative between the French Ministry of Culture and the National Film Board of France.
In 2018, the festival celebrates the 75th anniversary, but some of the films that make it onto the list will be missed.
This year’s Top 10 include the French classic, A Man of War (1951); the film that gave the world the word “Kung Fu” and the first western version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1952); and the French film classic, The Battle of Algiers (1955).
Other films that were part of the FFF top ten of 2018 include:In the second year of the festival, a number of French-language films are making their way onto the FFM list, including:The World is Not Enough, which won the 2017 World Film Festival prize for best documentary and has been nominated for the 2017 Oscar for best foreign-language film.
