Movie lovers across the country are gearing up for “The Dark Batman Rises,” the latest Batman reboot from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.
The upcoming film will be a “premiere” that will be available to anyone who wants to watch it in theaters, but it will also be available on the Google Play Store, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus and Roku devices.
The movie, which hits theaters on May 5, was filmed on locations in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
The cast will include Ben Affleck, Michael Caine, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Ben McKenzie and Laura Dern.
It will also feature a new villain, “The Penguin,” a Penguin who wants the world to believe that Batman and Robin are still alive.
“We have an idea of how it’s going to be and the actors and the director and the writers have a great deal of creative freedom,” said Adam Horowitz, the movie’s producer.
The director, Ben Affield, has previously worked on films like “The Hangover” and “The Last King of Scotland.”
“It’s a fun ride, and it’s a good, fun movie,” Affield said about the project.
“But I think there’s going have to be a little bit of a price tag, and we’re really excited to do it.”
