The family of a South Carolina mother who died when a car hit her and her two children in 2012 have spent months preparing for the birth of a daughter named Charlotte.
“Unforless, it will be a beautiful child, beautiful,” said mother Patricia and husband Joe.
Charlotte’s mother, Patricia Wilson, and father Joe Wilson have spent a year preparing for Charlotte’s arrival.
In the end, the couple and their family will be able to share a moment with their granddaughter.
The family will hold a special ceremony at the family’s home in the city of Columbia on April 26, the day the little girl will be officially born.
They will be joined by a choir, family members, and their friends.
It will be the first time the Wilson family has been together since their daughter died.
“The only way to tell this story is to be there for Charlotte,” said Patricia Wilson.
On the other hand, Joe Wilson said it will also be bittersweet to lose his daughter.
“We’ll always have the memories of the day she died, and we won’t have a child that we will never be able in our lifetime,” he said.
Joe Wilson, wife Patricia Wilson and their children will be with Charlotte during the ceremony at their home in Columbia, S.C. on April 19.
Chants from the crowd will echo across the country.
For Patricia Wilson’s husband, Joe, the birth has been the most difficult of his entire life.
“It was such a blessing that we had the chance to get to know her and be able bring her into our family, and it’s been a little bit difficult,” he told ABC News.
He said his family is already looking forward to Charlotte’s birth.
She’s going to be the most beautiful child that I’ve ever had,” he added.
